Composite Bonding

What is Composite Bonding?

Composite bonding is a cosmetic/restorative procedure in which a tooth-colored resin material is applied and hardened with a special light, which ultimately “bonds” the material to the tooth to restore or improve a person’s smile.

When is Composite Bonding needed?

Composite bonding can be helpful for several cosmetic and restorative procedures:

  • Can be used to fill cavities
  • Improve the appearance of teeth by filling gaps & repairing chipped and cracked teeth
  • To change the shape of teeth, close spaces and make teeth look longer
  • To protect teeth if roots are exposed due to gum recession

How long does it last?

The lifespan of bonding materials for the teeth depends on your oral hygiene and your oral habits.
